📖 COURSE OVERVIEW
QURANIC ARABIC COURSE is designed to introduce you to the beauty, depth, and significance of the Arabic language as it is used in the Quran. Whether you are a beginner taking your first steps in learning Arabic or someone looking to deepen your understanding of the Quran, this course will provide you with essential tools and knowledge to embark on a rewarding exploration of the Quranic text.
In this course, we will start with the fundamentals of Arabic, gradually building your skills in comprehending the Quranic text. We will explore the structure of Arabic words and sentences, delve into the richness of Arabic vocabulary, and uncover the principles of Quranic grammar. Level 101: Basic Level
The Basic Level course aims to provide students with the foundational skills needed to understand and engage with the Quranic Arabic text. This course typically covers essential grammar, vocabulary, sentence structures and other basic rules specific to Quranic Arabic.
In this level, we will cover the the following topics:
- INTRODUCTION
- The study of the Arabic Language.
- What is Quranic Arabic?
- Importance and Necessity of learning Quranic Arabic.
- Intro to Grammar (Nahw) & Word Forms (Sarf).
- Types of Words & Basic Sentence Structures.
- The study of the Arabic Language.
- SECTION 1
- Understanding Changes to One Word.
- 4 Properties of a Word:
- i) Status.
- ii) Number.
- iii) Gender.
- iv) Definiteness.
- 4 Properties of a Word:
- Understanding Changes to One Word.
- SECTION 2
- Multiple words coming together to form Fragments.
- 5 Fragments:
- i) Possesive – الإضافة
- ii) Descriptive – الوصف
- iii) Demonstrative – الإشارة
- iv) Prepositional – الجر
- v) Initiative – النصب
- 5 Fragments:
- Multiple words coming together to form Sentences.
- Noun Sentences.
- Multiple words coming together to form Fragments.
- SECTION 3
- Verb Sentences.
- Past Tense.
- Present Tense.
- Commanding and Forbidding.
- Verb Sentences.

Instructor of Quranic Arabic Course (For Brothers)
Hafiz Suhaib Khawja is currently a 6th year student at Falah Seminary. He studied the Arabic language at this institute (Falah Seminary), attended a 101 – 105 course series in Arabic before, and then further studied Arabic online as well. He’s taught Quranic Arabic a number of times before, and has taught some of the more higher-level sections of it as well, such as advanced Nahw and Balagha (rhetoric).
Asmaa Al Doughem
Instructor of Quranic Arabic Course (For Sisters)
Asmaa Al Doughem is a 1st year student at The World Islamic Sciences Education University, specializing in Hanafi Fiqh. She actively contributes to her community as a board member of the Public Relations Organization at Masjid Al Huda and dedicates her time to teaching Islamic principles and basics to Muslim reverts through the Muslim by Choice program. She also leads a girls’ halaqa every Friday, sharing insights into Islamic teachings and companion stories. Additionally, her two-year tenure at ICC, where she studied subjects like Nahw and Arabic studies, coupled with her experience tutoring private classes in Arabic and Quran & teaching at Sunday school and summer camps, showcases her dedication to educational excellence.
